Via Alderman Carl Franco “The neighbor group West Aurora Concerned Citizens (WACC) will be meeting Wednesday February 15 at 6:30 at the Orchard Valley Restaurant. The venue change is due to construction at the Vaughan Center. Speaking that night will be Judge Rene Cruz. He will be addressing the concerns with youth utilizing the internet. As always the community police and myself will give ward updates. All 5th ward residents are invited.”
Looking to learn more about the upcoming Mayoral primary for the City of Aurora.
While there are only four candidates on the ballot – it takes five to force a primary – several other people registered with the Aurora Election Commission as write-ins. So that forced a primary on Feb. 28, at which two of the four candidates will be eliminated, and the top two vote-getters will face each other in the general consolidated election April 4.
